Embark on a journey into the richness of an ancient culture through the captivating art of dance.
Renga Nrithayalaya, nestled in the heart of Canberra, is dedicated to the celebration, teaching, and preservation of Bharatanatyam, an ancient Indian classical dance form. Under the esteemed guidance of Srimati Aksharha Gopinath, the Director of the institution, passionate learners are guided through a meaningful journey of dance and self-discovery. The school was named by her spiritual mentor, Guru Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji, reflecting the profound spiritual essence that underpins its teachings.
At Renga Nrithayalaya, students are trained in the Pandanallur and Kalakshetra styles of Bharatanatyam. The curriculum is thoughtfully structured, guiding students from fundamental exercises and adavus to advanced adavus and, eventually, to the world of natyams. Each stage of the journey builds their knowledge, technique, discipline, rhythm, and expression, leading towards important milestones such as Salangai Pooja and Arangetram.
Conveniently located in Issacs and Bruce, our classes welcome aspiring dancers aged 5 and above.
