Renga Nrithayalaya, nestled in the heart of Canberra, stands as a beacon for the celebration, instruction, and preservation of Bharatanatyam, an age-old classical dance form. Under the esteemed guidance of Srimati Aksharha Gopianth, the director of this esteemed institution, numerous passionate learners find their rhythm. It was named by her spiritual mentor, Guru Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji, echoing the profound spiritual essence that underpins its teachings.
At Renga Nrithayalaya, students are meticulously groomed in the Pandanallur and Kalakshetra styles of Bharatanatyam. The curriculum is thoughtfully structured, guiding learners from the fundamentals to the intricacies of adavus, and finally leading them gracefully into the realm of natyams. With each step of their journey, students amass a wealth of knowledge, culminating in the prestigious milestones of Salangai pooja and Arangetram, marking their transition into accomplished dancers.
Conveniently located in Issacs and Bruce, our classes welcome aspiring dancers aged 5 and above to embark on a voyage of self-discovery through the divine art of Bharatanatyam. Renga Nrithayalaya - Teacher
Mrs. Aksharha Gopinath holds the position of Manager at a prnivate company in Queanbeyan and serves as the Director of Renga Nrithyalaya School, school was named by her Spiritual Guru Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamigal. She received her Bharatanatyam training from Guru Dr. Srividya Sundaresan, a dedicated instructor in the art form. Beginning her training at the age of 6, she completed her Arangetram at 13. Simultaneously pursuing a diploma in Bharatanatyam from Bharathidasan University alongside her Engineering studies in IT, she demonstrated a strong commitment to both disciplines. While employed at esteemed companies such as Cognizant and Paypal, she also imparted dance lessons to students in Chennai, India. Furthermore, she received early music training from her mother, Mrs. Sulochana Gopinath, and further honed her skills under the guidance of Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Chandrasekar, who belongs to the Thiyagaraja Shishya Parampara.”
